Do you know how to adjust the Tension Thread on Sewing Machine?

1817S-306(bd)Thread Tension

Let ‘s learn all about the knob on our sewing machines .

Sometimes it’s just a simple dial.and it is called a tension regulator.

And the way it works is that you ‘ve got the 2 plates that squeeze your thread as it slides through. And the reason for the tension is so that  and from the bottom are nice and evenly balanced in your stitch.

Now,if there ‘s too much tension, and not enough tension are both not good.

If you are sewing a really light, delicate fabric, you might want to reduce that tension a little bit,so it doesn’t pucker at the stitch.and alternatively with heavy fabrics or multiple layers, you increase the tension,so that it holds on tighter.

It has to do more work.you might even want to tweak it just a touch for your threads. A little tighter for the thin ones, and then looser for the chonkers.

Don’t be afraid to fiddle with your knob until you get your stitches looking peferct.
